Specialty Yoga Classes
New Moon & Full Moon Classes
These classes are held the night of each new moon and full moon. They offer a powerful way to work with the creative and regenerative forces of the moon cycle. Classes focus on setting intentions and working with the planetary energy of each moon cycle. Asana will focus on the moon salutation and will involve extended savasna for deep relaxation and release. Classes are specifically for women in the community, but are open to men wishing to acknowledge feminine energy in their lives through their yoga practice.
Balancing Male & Female Energies
This class will utilize the Venus and Mars tuning forks and will help bring balance and integration into your life. This class will utilize the pranayama Nadi Sodhana which balances the female and male sides of the brain. This class involves a vigorous warrior series followed by a series of rejuvenating seated poses. Focus will also be given to several balancing poses as a way to create balance in your life. An excellent class for those seeking more stability in their life!
Working with the Planets through Asana & Sound
These classes incorporate the use of planetary forks with corresponding asanas to help create a relationship in the body and spirit to the planetary energy. Feeling worn out and defeated? The Mars classes will invigorate you and give you courage and strength! Want to create abundance and happiness in your life? Work with the energy and sound of Jupiter in expansive poses filled with strength and laughter. Feeling the need to let go of old emotional patterns? The Neptune class will take you on a journey to the watery depths of your emotions through deep hip opening and work with the forks. Planetary classes can be held on the planets’ corresponding day of the week or with regard to energy in the astrology or class suggestion.
Working with Your Inner Goddess
This class focuses on healing goddess energies through work with the specific asteroid tuning forks of Demeter, Athena, Hera and Hestia. This class will help you harness the positive energy that each of these goddesses have to offer. Asana will focus on restorative poses allowing time for deep breathing and opening in each pose and a great deal of inner reflection.
